Board Membership Qualifications
Ideal Candidates Will Bring:
Business Experience and strategic insight
Fundraising knowledge and the ability to support sponsorship or donor engagement
Strong community connections to help build partnerships and awareness
Legal or financial experience is an asset, but not required
Board Member Responsibilities:
Provide governance and strategic direction for Crime Stoppers
Support fundraising, sponsorship and community engagement initiatives
Advocate for Crime Stoppers within the community
Ensure accountability and strong organizational impact
Successful candidates must:
Pass a Police Criminal Records Check at their own expense
Foster a positive working relationship with other board members
Offer meaningful contributions, expertise and experience necessary to guide the program to continued success
Prepare for and attend monthly board meetings
Dedicate time to their assigned committee
Participate and represent Crime Stoppers at community events and fund raisers
Be willing to offer your spare time to support the board in achieving its goals
