Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers To Host Largest-Ever Children’s Safety Expo at John D. Bradley Centre
Families across Chatham-Kent are invited to mark their calendars for Sunday, September 14, 2025, as Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers hosts its biggest Children’s Safety Expo yet. The event will take place at the John D. Bradley Centre at 565 Richmond St, Chatham, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and admission is free for everyone.

In the early morning of August 15th, 2025 – a break and enter occurred in the area of James St. in Wallaceburg. Sometime in the early morning suspect(s) entered the residence while the homeowner was sleeping and stole approx. $39,000.00 in property.

On August 12th sometime between 8:30-9:00pm a vehicle was stolen from the Sobey’s parking lot (215 Park Ave W. Chatham). The vehicle was a 2024 Grey Toyota Camry with Ontario plate: NIRMEET. Suspect(s) fled, leaving in an unknown direction. Crime Stoppers is seeking information that can identify the person(s) responsible for this stolen vehicle.

On March 28th, 2025, at approximately 0940hrs, officers of the Chatham-Kent Police Service attended 121 King St W, Chatham (also known as the Boardwalk Apartments) with regards to a break and enter complaint. Two unknown suspects wearing all black were observed on surveillance prying open a mechanical room door removing tools valued at $1000.

Chatham-Kent police are seeking information from the public regarding an arson investigation launched after this home at 170 Edgar St. in Chatham caught on fire in the early morning of Jan. 18, 2024.

On January 19th, 2025, around 3:45am - Chatham-Kent Police discovered property damage at 85 King Street West, Chatham. (True North Cannabis Co). The glass portion of the front door had been smashed. It appeared that it had been done with a projectile, as there were three distinctive points of impact. Damage to the glass was estimated $1,000.

On January 6th, 2025, at around 4pm, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an Ambulance Assist on King Street East at Princes in Chatham. A male victim possessed significant injuries as a result of being assaulted and they were transported to the hospital where he remains in medical care.
