Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers Seeking Community Leaders to Join Board of Directors

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is inviting community-minded individuals to apply for open positions on its Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to support a respected and important organization that plays a vital role in public safety and crime prevention across the region.

The Board provides oversight, guidance, and strategic direction for the Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers organization. Board members work alongside law enforcement, community partners, and volunteers to support initiatives that encourage anonymous tips, prevent crime, and keep communities safe.

Erica McIntosh, Coordinator for Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers, emphasized the importance of the contributions made by both current and past Board members.

“Our program has benefited tremendously from the time, expertise, and dedication of our Board over the years,” said McIntosh. “Their support has helped us grow stronger, reach more people, and ensure our mission continues to make a difference in Chatham-Kent. I am so grateful for the individuals who have served, who are currently serving, and for those who apply to work with us to continue to build safer communities.”

The Board is looking for individuals from diverse backgrounds who bring fresh perspectives, energy, and skills to the table. Experience in areas such as finance, law, communications, community outreach, or governance is considered valuable, but a passion for public safety and a commitment to the community are most important.

“Crime Stoppers is built on collaboration and community spirit,” said Sarah VandenBrand, Board President. “We’re looking for some new faces and new ideas to join our Board so that we can continue to grow and adapt. Having a wide range of voices and perspectives at the table helps ensure that our work reflects the needs of the community we serve.”

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers encourages anyone interested in making a positive impact to consider applying. This volunteer position is perfect for professionals looking to give back to their community while contributing to meaningful crime prevention efforts.
